Location

The village of Agras belongs to the Municipality of Edessa, Central Macedonia. It was name after the Macedonian fighter, captain Agra, who was hanged and burried there.

It is situated in an altitude of 480 metres above sea level.

There lies the 5,972 acre lake, as well as the Agra-Nisiou-Vrytton wetland.

The area is famous for its flora and fauna, besides the ideal conditions for fruit cultivation.
